About me
Hi! My name is Pia. I am a trained tea sommelier with a passion for organising team events and I would love to help you with your next one.
Tea tasting caters to so many of our senses – we hear the whisking of matcha, we see how the rolled tea leaves open as the hot water is poured on them, we smell the fragrance of the tea and we taste the subtle delicate notes. By staying curious and in the present moment we are able to learn – just like children experience and learn about the world through their senses.
While technology connects us with information and people more than ever before, it may also leave us feeling isolated, purposeless and disconnected. Constant digital distraction and stimuli may decrease our ability to immerse ourselves into the present moment. Switching between tasks may give us a powerful sense of multitasking, however, we may end up struggling to get any task actually completed.
After having worked for both large multi-national companies as well as dynamic start-ups for over 20 years, I founded TeaWorkx, a tea tasting service catering especially to the needs of businesses. The mission of TeaWorkx is to foster connection and curiosity.
I am a certified tea sommelier (Berlin Tea Academy – 2023), company founder (IHK Akademie Munich – 2024) and coach (Haufe Akademie – 2025).

What makes tea tasting a great team event?
Tea tasting is inclusive – it does no require advance knowledge and anyone can join.
It is interactive – we will jointly discuss what we taste, smell and see.
You will be immersed in the present moment, without digital distractions.
Learn how different kinds of tea (e.g. black tea, oolong tea, green tea, white tea, Pu-Erh) are derived from the same plant, the Camellia Sinensis.
Enjoy discovering new favorites. I do not have a commercial cooperation with any tea brand, which means I will be offering teas that I enjoy and find interesting, giving you a wide range to try.
HOW IT WORKS
The tea workshop by TeaWorkx is easy: you provide the space, TeaWorkx takes care of the rest
A tea tasting by TeaWorkx can be booked in the Munich area. Other locations in Bavaria are available upon request. Depending on where you are located, there may be costs for travel.
An optimal group size is 4 – 8 people. This will typically enable us to work with the highest level of interaction and engagement. If you have a smaller or larger group in mind, please do inquire so we can agree on how to best accomodate for your event.
I will come to your premises where I will organise the workshop with your team. The location can be an office space, such as a meeting room or a quiet area. As the workshop will take ca. 2 hours (unless otherwise agreed), it’s important that everyone can sit comfortably and that the space is quiet and undisturbed. Ideally the space is equipped with a screen so I can guide you through some information on the production and processing of tea. Access to electricity is needed for boiling water.
After getting to know each other, the workshop consists of some basic information on tea production and processing. We proceed to prepare the teas for tasting, paying attention to things like the water temperate, tea-to-water ratio, and steeping time. We then taste the teas, trying to identify the notes and flavors. We will compare and contrast the different teas, and you will have a chance to make notes if you wish.
